How long will my manicure last?

• Structured Manicure / Infill: 3–4 weeks

• Gel Extensions: 3–4 weeks

• Gel Manicure: 2–3 weeks

• Luxury Manicure with Gel: 2–3 weeks

• Luxury Manicure with Polish: 1–2 weeks

What’s the difference between a structured manicure and a gel manicure?

A structured manicure uses builder gel or hard gel to add strength, support natural nail growth, and create a perfect apex. It’s ideal for weak nails, clients who use their hands a lot, or anyone wanting long‑lasting durability.

 

A gel manicure uses a rubber base and gel colour for a lighter, flexible finish. It’s great for clients who prefer a thinner feel or don’t need the extra strength of builder gel.

 

Are structured manicures safe for my natural nails?

Yes. Olivia’s method focuses on minimal filing, gentle e‑file prep, and maintaining the health of the natural nail. Only new growth is refined at each appointment, helping your nails grow stronger over time.

 

Do you offer nail extensions?

Yes, Olivia offers gel extensions using sculpted hard gel and forms (no plastic tips). They’re lightweight, durable, and can be infilled.

Can you help me grow my natural nails?

Absolutely. Structured manicures are one of the best ways to grow natural nails safely. They add strength, prevent breakage, and protect the nail while it grows.

Do you work with all nail types?

Yes. Olivia uses different products depending on your nail type, length, and lifestyle. During your appointment, she’ll assess your nails and choose the most suitable option.

Is e‑file prep safe?

When used correctly, yes. Olivia is trained in safe e‑file techniques and works at extremely low speeds to avoid heat, damage, or discomfort. E‑file prep allows for cleaner cuticles, longer‑lasting results, and a neater finish.

Do you offer nail art?

Yes - from simple accents to detailed designs.

Pricing, per nail, is tiered depending on complexity:

• Tier 1: £5

• Tier 2: £10

• Tier 3: £15+

You can send inspiration photos before your appointment.

Note all nail art needs to be prebooked or at Olivia’s discretion.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

• Please ensure you have a clear space to accommodate Olivia’s table. Please supply a comfortable chair.

• Remove any old polish unless you’ve booked a gel removal.

• Have access to a plug socket for Olivia’s lamp and equipment.

• Make sure pets and little ones won’t disturb you during the treatment.

• Under 16’s need to have an adult or carer present during the treatment and parental permission.

What aftercare should I follow?

• To keep your nails looking their best:

• Apply cuticle oil daily

• Avoid picking or peeling product

• Wear gloves for cleaning, gardening, or heavy household tasks

• Avoid using nails as tools

• Book regular maintenance every 2–4 weeks depending on your service
   

Can I remove gel at home?

Gel manicures can be soaked off at home, but professional removal is always recommended to protect the natural nail. Structured manicures and extensions should only be removed by a professional.

What if I have allergies or sensitive skin?

If you have known allergies to nail products (especially HEMA), please let Olivia know before booking, she is happy to discuss her products and processes in detail. Patch testing may be recommended. Olivia uses high‑quality products and works cleanly to minimise irritation.

Do you repair broken nails?

Yes, nail repairs are available when booked alongside a manicure service.

Repairs are £3 per nail and use hard gel to rebuild or reinforce the nail.
